Who we are
We, the Lex Foundation, are a charitable organization established by the partners of Mboya Wangong’u & Waiyaki Advocates (“the Firm”) for purposes and projects directed towards the improvement of public welfare with particular emphasis on the promotion of education (formal and non-formal) and legal aid (especially in areas of corporate and commercial law).

Some of the initiatives/projects undertaken by the Foundation.
Engaging in corporate social responsibility
Some of the Foundation’s activities include supporting neighbouring schools such as Muthangari Primary School and Lavington Girls Secondary School. The population of these schools consist of students from the slums surrounding the Lavington area.
The Foundation identified the need to support these schools to improve their performance. In partnership with other organizations (such as Unlock Young Leaders Summit, Absa Bank, Policare and others) the Foundation has been involved in the mentorship of the students at these schools and provision of aid (such as shoes, food, stationery, among other things).
Sponsoring and educating young lawyers in the profession
Every year the Firm recruits a few students from different universities who are trained on practical matters of the law before sitting their bar exams. The Foundation provides financial assistance to some of these students who are unable to pay their fees at the Kenya School of Law.
Funding organizations that impact society
The Foundation also funds institutions with similar objectives that impact society. These include Kenya Christian Lawyers Fellowship that brings together Christian Lawyers in Kenya to ensure that the principles of law and justice are upheld and thus having positive impact on the society.
